A lecture from the FBI

Scotland's Justice Secretary Kenny MacAskill has had to endure a lecture on the subject of "justice" from FBI Director Robert Mueller after the release, on compassionate grounds, of the terminally ill Abdel Baset al-Megrahi.

It's good to know that the FBI are taking an interest in such things. Let's hope they don't adopt the ostensibly simplistic, yet highly idiosyncratic and relativistic, definition of "justice" that seemed to characterise Obama's idiotic predecessor's Presidency. Let's hope they take an idealistic, inclusive, internationalist approach to justice, one more in tune with the current incumbent of the White House's Brave New World. I'm almost certain they've sent similarly outraged letters of condemnation to the perpetrators of injustice at Guantanamo Bay and Abu Ghraib, the US Army for the massacre at My Lai, the CIA for their renditon flights programmme and the US Navy for the Iran Air Flight 655 incident. Keep writing those outraged letters, Bob....
